This is a belt that will last forever. Ordered the purple last time and other than some fading due to washing multiple times over 3 almost years, it’s in near perfect condition. Love it. Moving on to brown transition now.

I have the brown belt version of his and absolutely love it. It's thick, which I like, and it 100% stays tied no matter how much I put my body through. I was a bit skeptical because I previously bought the autism awareness belt and wasn't that impressed with the quality. It was quite thin. But this progressive grappling weave belt feels and looks premium. The black core also gives it some extra style that I like. I look forward to (one day) purchasing this same belt when I reach black belt.

The progression belt is wonderful and well worth the money. More importantly Kataaro is a magnificent company to deal with with amazing customer service. In a world of big box stores and contracted out customer service it was great to deal with professionals.

First off, this belt STAYS tied. Throughout my 360 drill warmups, takedowns, to guard techniques, all the way through a 40min rolling session. Awesome.
Second, and I wouldn’t recommend this because Kataaro doesn’t, I washed my belt on a cold quick wash with my gi like I would any other belt, and then I just pull it out and give it some tugs. Shrunk to a perfect size and I had ordered semi bigger than usual. I wear an A1, I ordered an A2.
There was a nice little “Thank You” hand written on the order receipt when I received the box, and the product came exactly how it was ordered.
This was bought as a gift for me, but I am definitely going to get at least another grappling weave as I progress to purple/brown/black. I will never go back to any belt brand.

The belt is beautiful and stays tied very well. The build quality is top notch. Unfortunately I am not allowed to wear the progressive style belt it in class because the blue wear strip is exposed. I suggest asking your professor If it is permitted before you get this version. I'll definitely get a normal grappling weave belt soon.
