Beautifully made belt. The fit and finish is fantastic. The embroidery is crisp, perfectly aligned and easy to read. I verified the translations on my proof prior to ordering and they were correct. Customer service was prompt and courteous.
The only thing I don’t like about this belt is that even with the softer finish the belt is quite stiff. This makes it so that the knot is not as tight as I prefer and the ends don’t lay down like I would like. That being said, this is a brand new belt so I expect it to soften with time. And this certainly would not stop me from ordering again or recommending this to someone else.

Since ordering an embroidered deluxe black belt for my promotion in 2020 and being blown away by the quality and workmanship of Kataaro's products, they have become the official belt of my school. All of my students recieve and proudly wear their Kataaro belts.

The difference between a USA-made Kataaro belt and a mass-manufactured, run-of-the-mill, made in China or Pakistan belts is night and day. The kataaro belts are the perfect balance between soft and stiff, cheaper belts feel spongy and limp. The Kataaro belt will make a nice knot and not roll up or fold over on your waist. I recently restarted my martial arts journey and our school uses a single wrap format and I've had zero issues with my new Kataaro white belt staying tied. The stitching is perfectly straight and uniform and no loose threads or out of place stitches like I've seen with other cheaper belts. The ends are neatly sewed up and not heat sealed like cheaper belts that sell for $5. The color on the kataaro belts is much more vibrant than Chinese belts - even when comparing white to white - the Kataaro white is bright white like a new cotton sheets whereas the mass made belts already look greyish. The small amount extra you pay for one of these belts is well worth it! I've already ordered my first three rank belts to have them stashed away for promotion.

Just received my third Kataaro belt, and just like the first two the craftsmanship is impeccable. You can tell they put a lot of care and diligence into each product. Not to mention how well the belts hold up! I look forward to putting my old belts on display!

Aloha,
I just received a standard rank belt (brown) in 1.75" width from you. This is the first belt I have ordered from you and I could not be happier with the product. The craftsmanship is surpassed only by the top level KuSakura or gold label Mizuno obi; which are nearly 3 times the cost and only available as Kuro Obi. The 1.75" width is commonly considered the "right width" for Judoka and is also almost exclusively found in Kuro Obi. I will be ordering all Kyu rank obi from you from now on.

Everyone who has held or touched my 2" Brown Rank belt (just the standard, not even the deluxe model!) experienced an involuntary jaw drop! If I am ever blessed with a promotion to 1st Dan, I will definitely purchase the Deluxe model (almost seems like overkill though as the standard seems like it would last for at least a hard worn decade). The workmanship is obviously of the OCD variety, and I loved the first belt I received so much, I immediately ordered two others for fellow practitioners. You have a customer for the life of my practice and I will most certainly pass on your info to others who REQUIRE a top quality belt to represent more than just a piece of cloth to hold up their pants!

I have to say, I was not optimistic when I ordered a brown rank belt. I searched all over for a quality brown belt ,as I will probably be wearing it for 3 years. Since I had purchased a custom belt from Kataaro before, I knew their quality standards were high, so I took a chance. The black belts in my dojo are jealous of the quality and don't believe me when I tell them I paid less than twenty bucks. I am a Kataaro man from now on.

This is the most outstanding rank belt I have ever owned. I purchased the rank black belt w/t embroidery and it turned out amazing! It's better quality than the so called quality belts you buy from elsewhere! If it's not Kataaro, it's garbage.
